We are delighted to announce that yesterday, we were approved by the Royal Institutes of Architects Ireland to deliver structured CPDs to architects around the country.

We are now offering a training course on ‘The Integration of Solar Photovoltaic Glazing’. This learning objectives for the course are as follows:

• Understand PV Glazing characteristics.
• Understand the types of PV Glass: Amorphous Silicon and Crystalline Silicon glass.
• How to choose from the different PV Glass options.
• Identify the key components of the PV Glazing system.
• Understand the mechanical installation factors and the basics of an electrical installation of PV Glass.

With buildings in the EU being responsible for 40% of the energy consumption and around 36% of greenhouse gas emissions, photovoltaic glaze could play a critical role in improving sustainability.

We really couldn’t be happier having won the Architects Choice Awards for ‘Best Exterior Product’ at the RIAI #ArchiExpo yesterday.

Having only officially launched #onyxsolar PV Glazing into the Irish market on Wednesday (at the architectural exhibition in the RDS) and winning such a prestigious award yesterday is somewhat overwhelming but actually not surprising.

We at ClearEnergy knew from the moment we discovered PV Glazing that this is a product that the market needs and it was obvious from the feedback from the expo that there’s a lot of people very excited about this product.

Basically this is glass that creates electricity from the sun!!!

The potential to turn buildings into power generators is going to play a huge part in creating carbon neutral cities.

In the week of #cop26glasgow we are extremely proud to be playing our part.
