About Us
ClearEnergy is a division of European Industrial Chillers Limited (EICL) which is dedicated to the promotion of Solar Photovoltaic Glazing solutions which are manufactured by Onyx Solar in Spain. Onyx Solar are the world leading manufacturer of PV glazing and have achieved 75 international awards with over 350 installations in 50 countries.
EICL was established in June 2004 as a specialist supplier of Water Chillers and Heat Pumps for HVAC & Process Cooling applications. Solar PV Glazing is the perfect compliment to the HVAC solutions that EICL have become quite famous for.
Our team have a proud reputation for working on some of the most iconic buildings in Ireland, having provided HVAC solutions for the New Central Bank of Ireland, the Salesforce Tower, Exo Building, Miesian Plaza, etc., so we aim to achieve the same with our Onyx Solar PV Glazing solutions.

About Solar PV Glazing
Onyx solar photovoltaic glazing generates electricity from the sun.
By working closely with Architects we can turn buildings into ‘solar power generators’ simply by using the glazing on buildings to generate renewable electricity.
PV glazing can be used in curtain walls, ventilated façade, skylights, canopies, pergolas, louvres, balustrade, floor tiles and even some outdoor furniture. See our products page for more info.
Onyx PV glazing can come in many transparencies, and as you can imaging there is a trade-off between the level of transparency and the efficiency of power being generated.
In addition to creating energy, PV glazing also reduces solar heat gains into the building, thereby reducing the energy required for air conditioning and also ensuring great filtering power as 99% of harmful UV radiation and up to 95% of IR radiation can be absorbed.
